Set upon a remarkable 6,500-acre Rocky Mountain cattle ranch overlooking Morgan Valley, Griffon & Greylight is a place where exceptional sporting experiences, authentic western hospitality, and lasting traditions come together.
I · A Working Ranch
This is not a resort.
It is a working cattle ranch.
Cattle move with the seasons. Hay is cut in July and stacked before the first frost. Fences are mended in the spring. Horses are shod, ditches are cleaned, and the country is kept in earnest working order.
Members enter a genuine western landscape — not one built for visitors. That authenticity is part of its character, and part of what makes a day here feel like it was never manufactured for anyone.

II · A Landscape Built for Adventure
Mountains, canyons, aspen and creek — arranged by no one.
The ranch rises from the valley floor through sage and oak-brush, up into aspen groves and alpine meadows, and higher still to timbered ridges that hold snow into June. It is a country of long views and quiet water.

The ranch is set in the Morgan Valley, over the ridge from Park City and a short drive from Salt Lake City International — close enough to arrive by evening, far enough to feel a long way from anywhere.

V · Four Seasons
The ranch is a different country

iii · Autumn
The aspens turn the color of the club.
Hillsides catch fire in gold and rust. Bugle season begins in the high country. Woodsmoke drifts from the lodge. The ranch is at its most itself.
VI · Wildlife
A country kept
in the animals' favor.
Elk pass through the aspens at dawn. Mule deer bed in the sage. Red-tailed hawks work the ridgelines; a golden eagle keeps a perch above the creek. Wild turkey drift through the oak-brush; the water holds trout.
The ranch is managed for the health of the herd and the health of the ground beneath it — quiet corridors, native cover, and water kept clean. It is a wildlife sanctuary first.

Land
Grazing rotated with the seasons. Native cover kept. Trails walked, mapped, and maintained — no more, no fewer, than the country requires.

Creek banks stabilized. Ditches kept clean. Ponds monitored. The health of the water is the health of everything downstream.
Wildlife
Corridors preserved. Habitat improved. Populations tracked and reported through the Warrior Rizen Foundation.
VIII · A Place to Return To
The land learns you.
You learn the land.
Members return in the same weeks each year. Children grow up on the same trails their parents rode. Old friendships are made longer over long tables. New ones are made at the range and by the fire.
In time the ranch stops being a place you visit, and becomes a place that is part of your story.
